RMA/FRA June: 'Flows are level, making for good fishing. Water clarity is a bit stained, but it hasn't seemed to bother the fish. Fish have spread out into the pockets and zones that aren't as deep — start with a dry-dropper.' All of the creek fishing well, above the falls has easier wading. Orodell ~78 cfs (drought-level, ~29% of median, below typical runoff). Primary hatches: midges, caddis, BWOs. Dry: Hi Viz No See Um BWO, AR's BWO Adult/Emerger, Para Ext Body BWO, Hi Viz Beetle, Superman Caddis, Foam Run Caddis, Micro Chubby. Nymphs: Zebra Midge, Juju Baetis, Arnott's Pocket Drone, Spanish Perdigon, Sweet Meat Caddis, BTS May in BWO, Tung Poudre Pupae, RS-2. Today (Sun Jul 5) ~91°F plains, sunny and hot — fish mornings; scattered storms return Tue–Wed.

Dry-dropper the way to go; fish can be especially surface-oriented late AM. Primary hatches: midges, caddis, Yellow Sallies, PMDs, BWOs. All of the creek fishing well (above the falls = easier wading). Water temp mid 50s. Weekday pattern: today (Sun Jul 5) ~91°F plains, sunny and hot; scattered storms Tue–Wed, heat rebuilds late week. No road follows the creek — good solitude spot.
